Instant Pot Beer Braised Corned Beef and Cabbage
Delicious garlicky corned beef cooked in an instant pot with beer and finished under the broiler for a crunchy top and tender beef.

- 2.5-3 lb. corned beef brisket including spice packet
- 1 tablespoon grainy mustard
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 bottle of beer any will do, but a lager is best
- 1 cup water
- 2 lbs red and gold potatoes quartered
- 3 cups baby carrots
- 1 head green cabbage cut into large wedges
Place corned beef brisket on rack of instant pot, and cover with grainy mustard and spice packet.
Add the garlic cloves to the brisket and add the beer and water.
Cook for 90 minutes using the meat/stew setting or high pressure. Once time is up, quick release pressure.
Remove corned beef to a baking sheet and place under the broiler for 9-10 minutes.
In the Instant Pot add the potatoes, carrots, and cabbage to the liquid in the pot.
Cook at high pressure for 8-10 minutes. Do a quick-release before removing vegetables.
