Ingredients

  • 4 Bartlett pears, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2.5 tablespoons raw turbinado sugar

Crisp Topping

  • 1.5 cups Open Nature Honey Nut Granola (may substitute any granola)
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 2.5 tablespoons raw turbinado sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter softened

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • In a bowl, combine pears, turbinado sugar, lemon juice and ginger. Toss gently to coat pears.  Pour into skillet or baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, prepare crisp topping ingredients.  The butter should be "cut" into the granola and chopped pecans.  You can do this with a fork until every piece of granola is coated with a touch of butter.    Spread  topping over fruit in skillet or baking dish
  • Bake pear crisp for 30 minutes or until the top is browned and fruit is bubbling.  Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
