Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated or minced
  • 1 lb. shrimp peeled & deveined
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 Fresno pepper seeds removed and thinly sliced
  • green onions chopped

Instructions

  • Mix together the soy sauce, garlic, honey, lemon juice, grated ginger and stir until combined.
  • Meanwhile, heat a non-stick pan or a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
  • Add the butter, then add the shrimp. Add the sliced Fresno chili or jalapeno. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and toss the shrimp to coat with the sauce. Cook on medium-high heat for about 6-8 minutes until the sauce becomes thick and sticky and the shrimp is cooked through.
  • Top with chopped green onions and serve with steamed rice or cauliflower fried rice.
