Ingredients

  • 4 cups broccoli florets cut into large bite-size pieces, rinsed and drained
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil or canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds (available in the spice section, add more if desired)

Instructions

  • Add freshly rinsed broccoli to a microwave-safe dish and partially cook on high for 2 minutes.
  • Start heating vegetable and sesame oil in a nonstick frying pan over medium heat.
  • After about 30 seconds, add the broccoli florets.
  • After the bottom of the broccoli has charred a bit, (2-3 minutes), turn the florets over to lightly brown the other side (about 1 - 2 minutes more).
  • Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the top and serve.
