Prepare the rice so that it is ready when the stir fry is done.
Thinly slice the steak into 1/8 inch - 1/4 inch strips.
In a small bowl, whisk together the grated ginger, minced garlic, brown sugar, sesame oil, hot water, soy sauce and corn starch until smooth and the sugar dissolves. Set aside.
In a large non-stick skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium-high heat and add the broccoli to the pan. Saute for 5 minutes until bright green and tender. You can also cover and let the broccoli steam slightly for 2-3 minutes.
Remove the broccoli from the pan and set it aside.
Increase the heat to high and add 1 tablespoon oil to the pan. Add the sliced beef in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until the steak is cooked through. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your pan.
Add the sauce to the beef and reduce the heat to medium. Allow the sauce to thicken, which will take about 4-5 minutes. Add the broccoli and stir to combine. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve with rice of choice.
