Homemade Granola

brown sugar

cup
honey
1/4

unsalted butter

rolled oats

sliced almonds
may use pecans or walnuts

tsp
ground cinnamon
1
cup
raisins
or dried cherries
1/2
cup
dried apples
1/2
cup
dried cranberries
Instructions
Combine the butter, brown sugar and honey in a sauce pan. Heat over medium heat just until the butter is melted and the sugar has dissolved.
In a large bowl, mix the oats, apples, almonds and cinnamon together
Fold the meted sugar and oats mixture together until the oats are well coated
On a sheet pan, covered with a parchment paper spread the oats and almonds evenly no more than1/2 inch thick.
Bake the granola in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes or until well toasted. Stir the granola several times to cook evenly.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes then add the raisins and dried cranberries and stir well to incorporate
