Pasta Chips are the latest TikTok trend made with cooked pasta that's drained and tossed with olive oil, cheese and spices then air fried to crispy chips - a perfect summer appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Signature SELECT Pasta of choice - rigatoni or farfalle is best
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Primo Taglio Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Signature SELECT Pasta Sauce

Whipped Feta Dip

  • 4 oz Primo Taglio Feta Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Open Nature Plain Greek yogurt full fat
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • prepared pesto or olive tapenade for dipping
  • prepared marinara sauce

Instructions

  • Boil the pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  • Drain the pasta and toss with olive oil, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the pasta into the air fryer in a single layer and cook at 400° F for 10-12 minutes, removing the basket and shaking occasionally to turn the pasta.
  • While the pasta is cooking, prepare the whipped feta dip by combining the feta cheese crumbles with the Greek yogurt and red pepper flakes in a mini food processor until well combined.  Pour into a serving vessel.
  • Once the pasta is cooked and crunchy, remove it from the air fryer to a serving platter and repeat until all the pasta is cooked.
  • If you do not have an air fryer, you can bake in the oven.  Place the seasoned pasta on a baking sheet in a single layer and cook in a preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, turning a few times until the pasta is crispy.  If you have a convection feature on your oven - be sure to use that as it would replicate the air fryer cooking method.
  • Serve with a bowl of marinara, a whipped feta dip and prepared pesto or olive tapenade.
