Vanilla Chai Pear Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 D'Anjou pear seeded and sliced (NOT peeled)
  • 1 cup Open Nature unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice

Instructions

  • Pour the almond milk into a blender.  Add the protein powder, sliced pears, cinnamon, cardamom, fresh ginger, vanilla extract and ice to the blender.  Blend for 1 minute until smooth.

Notes

If you want to add spinach or kale to make it a green smoothie, add 1/2 cup.  You won't taste it as the pear and chai spices carry the flavor of the smoothie.
