Ingredients
1loaf Italian bread or Ciabatta
1tablespoongarlic powder or freshly minced garlic
1teaspoonminced onion
1teaspoondried parsley
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonpepper
1/2cupbutter
1/4cupolive oil
1/2cupmozzarella cheese
1/2cupshredded parmesan or romano cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350° F.
Melt the butter over medium heat and add the salt, pepper, garlic, onion, and parsley. Add olive oil and stir to combine. Remove from heat.
Slice the bread diagonally in 1/2 to 3/4 inch slices, not cutting all the way through the bottom. Repeat until the loaf is sliced diagonally in two directions.
Mix the mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese together in a bowl. Gently opening the cracks of the bread, insert the cheese into the slices.
Brush with the melted garlic herb butter and wrap with foil.
Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is perfectly toasted.
