Review of O Organics Organic Energy Drinks

The energy drinks are light, fizzy, and refreshing.  They are not at all heavy and strong-flavored like other energy drinks on the market.

As a devout coffee drinker and non-energy drink consumer, I was surprised by the lack of color in the beverages, they are clear, unlike many other energy drinks.  It was also super effective at providing energy quickly – a few sips and you feel invigorated.  That is refreshing in itself.

I do wish there wasn’t as much sugar in the drinks and hope that the O Organics brand team comes out with an O Organics Zero Energy Drink made with an all-natural sweetener like monk fruit or stevia. I’m sure it’s in the works.

O Organics Original Energy Drink

The original energy drink has a light green tea and white grape juice flavor, very subtle, not overly sweet, perfectly balanced and refreshing.

 

The tropical energy drink has undertones of pineapple and mango – it’s delicious and was my favorite among the three flavors.

The berry energy drink had the most subtle flavor of all – very slight blueberry and strawberry undertones.

Each can contains 115 calories, 0 fat, 5 mg. of sodium, 29 grams of sugar (of which 26 grams are added).

All 3 cans contain the same ingredients.  The flavor differences come from the organic natural flavors that are added but are not spelled out.

Ingredients: carbonated water, organic sugar, organic white grape juice concentrate, organic natural flavor, citric acid, malic acid, organic green tea extract, organic guarana seed extract, organic echinacea pupurea herb extract, organic Panax ginseng extract.

What’s In Organic Energy Drinks?

• Guarana is derived from the seeds of a South American tree. Because it is high in caffeine, it is popular as an energy supplement.

• Echinacea pupurea herb is simply the flowering tops of the echinacea herb and is considered effective in boosting immunity.

• Panax ginseng extract comes from a plant that grows from Korea, China, and Siberia.  The root of the ginseng plant is used to make medicine.  People take it to improve memory and thinking skills, according to webmd.
