  1. For the 5th box (Nature Valley Biscuits with Peanut Butter) I tried to use:
    $0.50/1 (from SS 9/9) when you buy ONE BOX any Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits, Nature Valley Biscuits with Almond Butter, Nature Valley Biscuits with Peanut Butter, Nature Valley Biscuits with Cocoa Almond Butter OR Nature Valley Biscuits with Coconut Butter (Exp 11/03/2018)

    Note: My Safeway had not only the Nature Valley Crunch Bars as part of the sale, but had almost every Nature Valley item tagged as part of the sale: Breakfast Biscuits, Biscuits with XXX Butter, Soft-Baked Squares, Soft-Baked Filled Squares, etc. Only the Granola Cups and Layered Granola Bars were not tagged as part of the sale.

    1. OK – You had me wondering if I got the deal or if there was an error – AND it turns out I was charged $2.00 per box for 4, $2.49 for the 5th box and I got a digital coupon for $1.25 off, instead of the $5 off 4. SO – THANK YOU Arthur for pointing this out – I would never have seen the error. Don’t buy 5 boxes because the digital coupon will NOT work on the deal! It truly is a limit 4 promotion.

  2. It appears you cannot combine in same transaction a purchase of 4 of these using the digital coupon and the purchase of a 5th using a regular coupon. Here’s what happened to me when I tried to do this today.

    4x Nature Valley rang up correctly as 2.00 each or 8.00 total
    digital coupon for 5.00/4 came off correctly leaving 3.00 total
    5th Nature Valley range up as 2.49, then 50/1 coupon doubled to 1.00, left net 1.49
    total = 4.49
    then Safeway computer added 8 x 1.25 charges, giving grand total of 14.49

    This happened first during self-checkout, then again at regular checkout. Manager said problem was that all 5 of Nature Valley purchases are tied to the digital coupon (even though paper ad specifically says max of 4 products total) and that use of paper coupon then erased both the 5.00/4 digital coupon AND the 2.00 sale price.

    Dropping the paper coupon made total 5.49, adding it in made total 14.49.

    I just dropped the 5th box completely. Total then 3.00 and a 2.00 Catalina printed.

    So be careful.

    1. Which $.50 off 1 coupon were you using? I didn’t see a $.50 off 1 product included in the sale. When I bought the 5, I did not use an extra coupon, so I did not experience the issue you describe, but thank you for sharing so that others are also aware!
