New at Safeway – Hatch Green Chile Queso Dip

Safeway’s Hatch Green Chile Queso Dip

Safeway just launched a new Hatch Green Chile Queso Dip as part of their fresh cut/prepared in store line.  If you’ve been shopping at Safeway for any time at all, you must know about their awesome selection of fresh cut fruits and veggies and prepared in store foods that save you time in the kitchen.

The new Hatch Green Chile Queso is made right in your local Safeway store using the freshest ingredients on hand.  This new queso is made with green chile peppers, American cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and ground cumin.  It’s incredibly flavorful and perfect anytime you want a quick dip or snack!  It pairs perfectly with the Safeway tortilla chips prepared fresh in-store daily!

The new Hatch Chile Queso Dip 14 oz retails for $3.99 and can be picked up in the produce department with all the other fabulous prepared in store salsas and guacamoles.

The new Hatch Green Chile Queso is the perfect dip to pick up for game day.  Whether you are hosting the big game viewing party, tailgating at the field, pick up some chips and the queso dip and you will be the star of the day with this tasty dip!  It’s delicious hot or cold.  I like it cold with crisp veggies like mini peppers, cucumber spears and celery, but I do like it served hot with chips.  You can even serve as a dip for quesadillas, a topping for tacos, enchiladas burritos, or anything your heart desires. The dip is not spicy.  It has just a little kick to it, so mild green chiles are definitely used to make this dip rather than medium or hot.

  1. There needs to be nutritional facts please, so people can consume accurately. There’s malodextrin in the ingredients, which is a carb.

  2. The queso hasn’t been available in our nearby stores lately. It’s been a staple in our home…it hasn’t bee discontinued, has it?

    1. Hi Keleigh, it has not been discontinued. It’s quite popular so it may be in short supply at the moment, but it should be back in stock soon!

  3. We LOVE this dip. First used it over New Year’s Eve with family and friends. Saved us so much time and clean-up and the hatch chile makes a great taste.

    1. Because it’s a product made in the deli, there is no nutritional information printed on the packaging. I looked online on Safeway.com as well and they do not have nutritional information either. I would assume it’s the same as any processed cheese queso product.

    1.
