Safeway Store Remodel

The Safeway store on Broadway and Alameda (323 Broadway in Denver, CO) has been remodeled.  This was an Albertsons store for years and changed banners to Safeway in October 2016.  I stopped in last night to check it out and let me tell you it is FABULOUS!  See below for  a summary of what’s new at this store.  If you are in the area, you will definitely want to check it out, and be sure to try the Mochi while you are there – so delicious!  Check out the HOT deals available to celebrate the Grand Opening below and see how you can get a $10 off $50 coupon for this store.

The new Safeway store has all new signage and modern décor with wood paneling, brighter lighting, and polished concrete floors.  It has an expanded produce section with all new display boxes, making the produce look even more fresh and inviting!  There is an expanded Deli with a new chicken wing bar, hot prepared foods, a salad bar and an olive bar.  The Butcher Block area has incredible gourmet and specialty foods like meats, olives and cheeses.  There is also a new Sushi kitchen with fresh sushi hand-rolled in-store daily by trained sushi chefs.    

For coffee and specialty drink lovers – there is a new Cold Brew Case near the produce section with every variety of cold brew coffee and specialty beverages you can imagine.   They also expanded the Starbucks to be full-service with hot sandwiches and added seating so you can meet a friend or colleague and have a place to sit and chat!   There is an expanded Artisan Bakery with more offerings from cheesecakes, to edible cookie dough, bagels, donuts, desserts, bread, and beautifully decorated cakes and cupcakes!  The feature I was most excited about is the new self-serve Mochi bar!   Check out some pictures of the new store below.

Lastly there is a new Safeway DriveUp&Go capability at this store.  If you live in the area and want to place your order for DriveUp&Go, a Safeway employee will do the shopping for you and put the groceries in your car when you arrive at the store.

The new Butcher Block area.  Love all the fresh meat and seafood!  I hope they remodel all the stores!
