2016 Safeway Monopoly Shop, Play, Win! Game
Safeway just launched a new Monopoly Shop, Play, Win game that runs February 3rd through May 3rd. This is a popular game that was brought to Safeway from Albertsons as a result of the merger. The game is also in effect at Albertsons locations with the same board and game pieces.

How does it work:
1. Pick up a Monopoly Game Board at your local Safeway store.
2. Every time you shop at Safeway, you get a game ticket. You will also get an additional “bonus” game tickets by purchasing specially tagged products. Inside the game tickets, you will find 4 game markers, and either a Special Discount Offer, Online Game Code, Instant Win Prize or 2 free Game Tickets Coupons.
3. Stick the tickets to the Monopoly board to win great prizes. Or, play online with the online game tickets.
Certain game pieces will have a online game code which is a 12 alpha-numeric code that you will be able to enter online at www.playmonopoly.us.

I suggest if you have kids 8 and older that you get them involved in sticking the tickets to the board because it can be time consuming, but fun also for them!

Are there stores in Northern California still giving out tickets – mine ran out on Saturday?
Whats to prevent the employees from taking most of the tickets? At the ocean beach store in San Francisco, I’ve been there several times when I was not offerred the game pieces unless I asked, and there and at other Safeways I’ve been asked, “Do you play?” I observed other customers saying no that they don’t play. Why are they not just giving people the tickets?
I find it “interesting” the overwhelming majority of winners, and all of the big money winners ($10,000 or above) except four (one PA, one ME and two IL )are on the West Coast or Texas (3 of 4 $20,000 scholarship winners are in TX for criminy sake). Why should I bother to play if I am on the East Coast if most of the rare game pieces were shipped to West Coast stores?
If you are protecting large on an item you should buy a
lot of it and stock up.
I think these are some of the impossible pieces: A504E, C513D, G531A, H538D, I541C, J544B, K549C, L551A, M556B, N562D, O565C, P568B, R575A, S579A, T585C, U590D, V592B, W597C, X602D, Y603A, Z608B and two rare ones for the big prizes are $613C and $618H/ ?622D and ?625G. I have 2 blank spaces for D, E, F,Q, so I don’t know what the impossible piece is for those letters. Hope this helps someone.
The whole game is impossible. Shame on Safeway for this game where you can’t even win $5. I’ve thrown away $20 worth of paper!
Anyone have the Tuition D515A?
I have tried several times now to sign-up for the online Monopoly Game and each time I get an error message: Can not contact reCAPTCHA. Like many, I enjoy playing the game (it gives me something to do) but I don’t want to just waste my time with no hope of winning anything since I can’t even enter. What is the solution?

I have two of the tabs for $5000 cash prize. Does that mean that I won $5,000 cash (or check)? Also two $5000 groceries, $15, $78 Redox, etc. Have I won all of these prizes??
You need to take your completed Monopoly board to Safeway customer service to claim your prize if you won. They can clarify any questions you may have.
Each is a different prize, you need 4 game pieces for each prize.
You have won the prize only if you have gotten all of the numbers in the 8 series etc. I don’t know what the chances of one wining a large amount of money is near to nothing because they send different batches of numbers to different stores. The ones you are missing are probably at a Safeway in California. hahahahahahaaha
