Signature SELECT Artisan Pizzas – New at Safeway

Pizza lovers will be thrilled with Safeway’s new Signature SELECT artisan pizzas now available in the freezer aisle.  The innovative and specialty flavor combinations of these new artisan pizzas are delicious!

I’m already a hug fan of the Signature SELECT Pizzas but Safeway really stepped up the gourmet factor of these four new artisan made pizzas with ingredients like ancient and sprouted grain crusts and balsamic glaze with prosciutto and arugula.  YUM!  I received the four new artisan pizzas and tried them with my family and you can see our review below.

Signature SELECT Artisan Pizza Pesto and Fresh Mozzarella on a Spouted & Ancient Grain Thin Crust

This pizza starts with a flaky sprouted and ancient grain artisan crust that’s topped with pesto sauce and finished with a specialty cheese blend including fresh mozzarella.  The ancient and sprouted grain crust is made from sprouted whole wheat flour, and in the ancient grain flour you’ll find high maize corn, sorghum flour, brown rice flour, millet, amaranth and quinoa.

One bite and you’ll agree this is a delicious pizza.  The crust was crispy, the cheese was gooey, the pesto was incredibly flavorful and there were a ton of chopped tomatoes on the pizza.  I love the ancient grain crust – it’s really flavorful and you can feel good about eating it.  The pizza contains 440 calories per serving (serving size is 1/3 of the pizza), has 28 grams of fat, 31 total carbs and 17 grams of protein.

Signature SELECT Artisan Pizza Gotta Luv Meat Stone Oven Thin Crust

Uncured Pepperoni, Italian Style Meatballs, Italian Sausage, along with ham and bacon all piled on a stone oven artisan crust with zesty tomato sauce and premium cheeses.

The pizza was piled with meat – it truly is a meat lovers delight!  My husband said it was the best pizza he’s ever had – thin, crispy crust with a delicious tomato sauce, bacon, sausage, pepperoni… what’s not to love?

The pizza contains 380 calories per serving (1/4 of the pizza), 21 grams of fat, 30 grams of carbs and 17 grams of protein.

Signature SELECT Artisan Pizza Prosciutto and Arugula with Balsamic Glaze on Sprouted and Ancient Grain Thin Crust

Talk about a gourmet pizza!  Salty, crispy prosciutto with peppery arugula and a sweet balsamic glaze – the flavor profile of this new artisan pizza is delicious!  The crust is crispy and the toppings are amazing.  The pizza comes with a balsamic glaze packet that thaws while the pizza is cooking.  Simply cut the corner and add the glaze for a perfect slice of pizza!

This reminded me of the innovative specialty pizzas you find at the Secret Stash in Crested Butte.  We love their pizzas and now we can have artisan pizzas from the frozen aisle at our local grocery store!

Signature SELECT Artisan Spicy Salami and Honey Pizza on a Stone fire Thin Crust

Spicy salami, flavorful mozzarella cheese, and sauce with a drizzle of honey make this artisan pizza a go-to for any salami pizza fans!  The crust is crispy and delicious and while my family doesn’t normally like sweet with savory – they absolutely loved the honey because it was the perfect amount of sweetness for the spicy salami!
