Sparkling Blueberry Peach Refresher

Summer is a great time to experiment with fruity beverages.  The ripe sweet fruits are enough to sweeten any sparkling water and make a fun refreshing beverage to enjoy.  This Sparkling Blueberry Peach Refresher is a fantastic summertime treat that uses fresh, in-season peaches and fresh blueberries along with just a touch of cinnamon and vanilla to impart a unique flavoring to the drink.  Add a touch of agave nectar or honey for extra sweetness.  I’ve tried with and without the agave, and both ways are delicious.  This is a fabulous drink to serve for a summer time shower, BBQ or anytime you don’t want to have alcohol.

Be sure to take advantage of the $.97/lb. peaches on sale at Safeway to make this sparkling drink.  My store had Palisade peaches and they are super juicy and delicious!  See additional ideas for recipes to make with sale ingredients in our From the Kitchen page here.
