Get Dinner on the Table Quickly With New AdapTable

Meals from Safeway

With three kids in sports, our afternoon and evening schedules are quite hectic, so I’m always looking for short cuts in the kitchen to get a home cooked meal on the table quickly.  Dinner time just got easier with new AdapTable™ Meals beef and pork products that are pre-cut and seasoned to help you get dinner on the table in under 15 minutes.

The meats are available as prepared skillet cuts, chops, steaks and roasts that are perfectly portioned and dry seasoned or marinated in a delicious sauce.  Cook up the innovative new skillet meals in just 10 minutes, or try the chops that can be pan seared, oven roasted or grilled for a quick dinner.  The roasts are perfect for slow cooker where you can set it and forget it until dinner time.

The next time you stroll through your local Safeway, be sure to check out the new AdapTable™ Meals fresh meat products nestled between the beef and pork cuts in the meat department.

Talk about convenient!  Rather than worry about finding recipes and making sure you have all the ingredients on hand for dinner, you simply pick up a package of AdapTable Meals with fresh pre-seasoned meat, heat the skillet and add the meat.  In 10 minutes, the main entree of dinner is ready.

The best part is these fresh meats have zero artificial ingredients, zero artificial preservatives and no added water, so you can feel good about serving this to your family.

AdapTable™ Meals Skillets

The skillet meats are fresh, pre-seasoned boneless diced and stripped meats prepared in a delicious sauce that you can cook and eat in just 10 minutes.  Perfect option when you want a delicious, home cooked meal in under 15 minutes!  Choose from Boneless Diced Pork with Mushroom and Wine Sauce or Beef Tips and Gravy.  When you add water to the skillet while cooking, it creates a mouthwatering glaze that you can serve over rice, noodles or veggies.

AdapTable Meals Boneless Diced Pork With Mushroom and Wine

The AdapTable Meals boneless diced pork skillet meal is seasoned with a delicious mushroom, red wine, garlic, onion and thyme sauce.   To prepare the pork skillet meal, simply add oil to a sizzling skillet then add the pork and cook for 10 minutes until it’s cooked through.  To create a glaze, you can add 1/4 cup of water to the pan during the last 5 minutes of cooking.  Serve over noodles, rice or with a side of potatoes and a vegetable for a delicious dinner in just 10 minutes!

We sampled both the pork and beef tips and the family really enjoyed the mushroom and wine diced pork which I served with rice pilaf and steamed broccoli.  The mushroom and wine flavor is not overpowering, in fact, it’s very mild so you could always add more flavor by adding chopped mushrooms, carrots and even a little heavy cream if you want to have a heartier sauce for your pork.

Be sure to check out a delicious recipe I made with the diced pork – Skillet Pork in Creamy Mushroom Sauce.

AdapTable Meals Beef Tips With Gravy

The AdapTable Meals Beef Tips with Gravy is prepared with onion, garlic, beef broth and peppercorns.  To prepare, simply heat a skillet over high heat, add a 1 teaspoon of oil and the meat.  Cook for 5 minutes until the meat is seared.  Add water and cook for another 3 minutes to create the gravy.  Let the beef rest for another 3 minutes for the gravy to thicken.

I served the beef tips with gravy over buttered egg noodles.  The meat was flavorful and tender and paired perfectly with the noodles.  The gravy was more of a glaze than a traditional soupy gravy, but it was delicious nonetheless.

AdapTable™ Meals Chops and Steaks

In addition to the skillet meals, AdapTable Meals are available in pork chops and steaks as well.  Choose from boneless pork loin or ribeye chops, and boneless beef steaks.  Safeway carries the pork chops in a boneless pork ribeye chop with a chophouse blend dry seasoning rub and boneless pork loin chop with a roasted garlic and herb dry seasoning rub.

We sampled the boneless pork ribeye chop with the chophouse dry seasoning rub.  The thick-cut pork chops are seasoned with onion, garlic and red bell pepper.

My husband said it was the best pork chop he has ever eaten.  I don’t take that lightly because he doesn’t typically rave about anything, but he was raving about these chops!

I grilled the pork chop for 8 minutes per side over medium-high heat until a meat thermometer registered 145 degrees and then I let it rest under foil for about 5 minutes.  All the juices were distributed throughout the pork and made for an incredibly flavorful and juicy pork.

I served with smashed new potatoes with feta and grilled asparagus for my family.  They loved it and they couldn’t get enough!  I only wish I had bought more than 2 chops for the 5 of us!

Side dish pairing suggestions for getting dinner on the table in 10-15 minutes with AdapTable Meals

  • Quick cook rice or quinoa
  • Boiled new potatoes
  • Salad kits with all the fixings
  • Grilled or roasted veggies from Safeway’s fresh cut section in the produce department
  • Pasta or egg noodles
  • Tortellini or ravioli
  • Microwave or instant pot baked potato or sweet potato
  • Steamed broccoli, cauliflower or frozen vegetable medley

AdapTable™ Meals Roasts

AdapTable Meals are also available in pork roasts in a variety of cuts – choose from pork shoulder roasts, pork loin roasts, tenderloin and fillets.  I picked up the Carnitas flavored pork roast, which is seasoned in a garlic, onion and lime marinade.  I plan to slow roast in a crock pot to make shredded pork carnitas with fresh jalapeno and avocado.  The pork roast is also available in a Smokey Mesquite dry rub with onion, garlic, orange peel and smoke flavoring.

I’m thrilled that the pork roast is pre-portioned in a 1.75 lb. size and deliciously seasoned because my family loves shredded pork, but I don’t like to buy the huge pork shoulder because it’s a lot of meat that I have to portion out and freeze since we can’t eat it all in a few days.  This is the perfect size for the family!
