The soda aisle is getting some steep competition from sparkling water as more and more Americans choose sugarless options for their beverages.  Pepsi, the maker of bubly sparkling water is capitalizing (and strategically cannibalizing) on the trend with the launch of bubly bounce. 

Try the new caffeinated sparkling water for just $1.99 an 8-pack with a new digital coupon stack at Safeway. 

“bubly sparkling water was created to bring more smiles into the sparkling water category, and new bubly bounce takes it to the next level with caffeine,” said Zach Harris, vice president of water portfolio at PepsiCo Beverages North America, in a statement. “As more individuals seek out sparkling waters with added benefits, bubly bounce delivers all of the delicious flavor and hydration of the original, now with just a kick of caffeine.”

Available five combo flavors: Mango Passion Fruit, Triple Berry, Blood Orange Grapefruit, Citrus Cherry and Blueberry Pomegranate.

The new caffeinated beverages have 35 mg. of caffeine per can, which is in line with other caffeinated sodas and sparkling waters. 

Pepsi has 38 mg. of caffeine, Coke has 34 mg. of caffeine, so this new product is right in line with current sodas on the market – except it has zero sugar, colors or artificial flavors.
