Red Wine and Rosemary Crockpot Rump Roast Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1-4 lb Bottom Round Beef Roast
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 Tbs chopped rosemary
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine (or beef broth)
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Want to pass on the red wine? You can use beef broth instead – but the red wine definitely infuses a delicious flavor into the beef adding depth and richness to the beef and juices.

How to Prepare a Rump Roast in the Slow Cooker

It’s incredibly easy to prepare a rump roast.  You simply, place the seasoned roast into the crockpot, surround it with the garlic, onions and minced roasemary.  Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.  Slice against the grain and serve.
