Get Ready for Gold this Summer

The athletes have trained and been selected to represent the U.S.A. this summer in Rio, Brazil.  There’s just something about this event that unites all of us at home supporting the athletes as they compete against the best in the world. It’s a time where national pride is dancing in the air and this summer Safeway stores are helping you get the party started as we all Get Ready For Gold!

Playing off of the excitement around the summer games in Rio, Coca-Cola, P&G, Smuckers, Kelloggs, Hershey, and Chobani have sponsored a sweepstakes which will allow Safeway and Albertsons customers a chance to win a U.S. Olympic Training Camp experience as well as other summer-themed prizes by purchasing participating products.  The winners will get to spend a Fantasy Day at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and participate in a Track & Field training experience at the U.S. Air Force Academy with Paralympian Tatyana McFadden and Olympian Leo Manzano.

Who wouldn’t want to visit the U.S. Olympic Training Camp? That’s where dreams are made! My favorite summer games to watch are the swimming, volleyball and track races.  There is just something about the excitement those sports generate that has my family gathered for hours around the television rooting for team U.S.A.

If I won the training camp experience, I would take my 12 year old daughter and we would be ecstatic to meet Tatyana McFadden, Paralympian, who was born with Spina Bifida and has overcome many obstacles to win many gold medals, and first place in marathons and other events.  She is hoping to sweep the Rio games in 7 different events, so it would be an inspiration to watch her train and get a deeper understanding of her passion and motivations.  Read more about Tatyana here.

  • Make a qualifying purchase at a participating store location before August 22, 2016.
  • Be sure to save your receipt and upload it at www.cokeplaytowin.com/readyforgold by September 5, 2016 at 11:59pm EST.
    • The image must be clear and legible and must include the purchase date, showing the qualifying products that you purchased.
    • Follow the links and instructions provided on the site in order to submit the registration form, including providing a valid home address.
    • You will also be required to select your Albertsons Companies store location.

• FREE MAIL-IN METHOD OF ENTRY:
  • During the Promotion Period, to enter without making a qualifying purchase or uploading a receipt:
    • Hand print your full name, street address (no P.O.
