Review of Yes To Facial Masks

Yes To Cucumbers 2 Step Eye Kit

Yes to cucumbers depuffing under eye mask contains soothing cucumber, aloe, caffeine and evodia fruit to keep your skin calm while waving buh-bye to excess (eye) baggage and dark circles.

Step 1 features 2 paper eye masks that help decrease puffiness and smooth the delicate skin around the eyes.

Step 2 is an eye treatment cream to help decrease dark circles and brighten the eye area.

My Review of Yes To Facial Masks – I was skeptical in trying the depuffing under eye mask and I waited until a day when my eyes were especially puffy from a bad night of sleep and I was pleasantly surprised that the eye mask actually worked.  Cucumber has been used for years in spas and as an at home treatment to help reduce puffiness – so I should not be surprised. The paper masks have a cucumber and aloe scent and they are very wet when you initially touch them, but they stick to the under eye area very well and the mask is immediately soothing and cooling under the eyes.  I felt a slight tingling sensation and since I had read many reviews on the product before I tried, I left the eye mask on for about 6 minutes.  I’ve read that some people may have a reaction to one of the ingredients in the mask and can have redness as a result, but I did not experience any redness whatsoever.  I did wash my face when I removed the paper mask and then applied the anti-dark circle eye cream, which also has a fresh cucumber and aloe scent and it is very cooling and soothing and moisturizing.  I didn’t notice a huge change in the dark circles, but perhaps that comes over time and with multiple applications.

My eye bags were minimized and the skin under my eyes was completely hydrated, which minimized the look of fine lines and wrinkles.  The best part is that the mask and cream contains 96% natural ingredients and is formulated without Parabens, SLS and Silicones.  While it says one time use, I really think you can get several uses out of the product.  When I removed the paper masks they were still wet and since the packaging can be resealed, they will stay wet until the next use.  The eye cream package has a lot more eye cream than anyone would ever use in one application – I would say there is at least 5 uses in one package, so I’ll plan to reuse for the next 5 days to get my money’s worth.

I give it 2 thumbs up!

Yes To Tomatoes Charcoal Mask

Review of Yes to Tomatoes Charcoal Paper Mask

Formulated with charcoal to detoxify and clean pores, the single-use Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask is perfect for those times when your skin needs a serious deep cleaning.

Activated charcoal has been on the beauty scene for a few years now, and it’s known as a natural detoxifier and impurity remover to deep clean skin.

The charcoal paper mask was my third paper mask I’ve tried and it was definitely different.  When you remove it from the packaging, you’ll notice it’s quite wet, but I had no problem with it sticking to my face.  I did think there was a little excess paper around the eyes and nose, but nonetheless it stayed put.  It was cold on my face initially but it quickly warmed up.  It has a fresh aloe scent.  I left the mask on for about 10 minutes and then removed.  My face felt clean and a little tighter after using the mask.    I didn’t notice any immediate difference in pore size, simply that my face felt clean and slightly more taut after the mask.  My dog was terrified of me and wouldn’t come close to me even when I called for her – so that was pretty funny. Between the two charcoal masks, I would choose this paper mask over the mud mask personally because I don’ have acne prone skin.

Yes to Charcoal Mud Mask

Review of Yes to Tomatoes Clear Skin Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask

The Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask, perfect for acne-prone skin, is formulated with charcoal and salicylic acid to detoxify and rid skin of nasty impurities while helping to keep skin clear.

I’ve been doing clay masks my whole life to clear pores and remove excess oils and impurities from my skin.  I expected this charcoal mud mask to be like a clay mask, but it was quite different.  The formulation of the mask is very goopy and thick and it did not dry out my skin like a clay mask does.  The mask started out as a light grey color and as it dried, it turned into a dark charcoal grey mask.   It took a little more effort to remove the mask I definitely felt a little tingling from the salicylic acid.  My skin felt smooth, clean and surprisingly hydrated unlike when I use a clay mask and it gets dried out.

The charcoal first draws bacteria, toxins, chemicals, dirt, oil, and other micro-particles to the surface of the skin. It then absorbs those foreign substances and carries them away when you rinse the charcoal off your face.

Yes To Grapefruit Scrub

Review of Yes to Grapefruit Correct & Repair 2 Step Face Kit

The Yes to Grapefruit daily facial scrub and pore perfection brightening peel is made with grapefruit and vitamin C to help refine pores and even skin tone.

Step 1 – Pore scrub to cleanse and exfoliate your face.

Step 2 – Face peel to even skin tone and perfect pores.  Your skin will be bright, refreshed and radiant!

The pore scrub uses micro-scrubbers to exfoliate and brighten skin.  It’s very mild and smells like fresh grapefruit.  I loved using the scrub, especially after a week at the beach over spring break where my skin got a little too much sun. The brightening peel is really not a peel, rather a mask that you apply and wash off.  It too smells amazing like fresh grapefruit.  If you’ve had any facial treatments and have dry skin or flakiness, I would highly recommend this Grapefruit 2 step kit to help slough off the dead, dry skin and then brighten with the peel.

You’ll find these facial masks along with the Neutrogena Facial Masks in the personal care aisle at Safeway in their own display.  Have you tried any of the Yes To Masks?  Let us know what you think in the comments below.
