Bumble Bee Tuna Recall

Check your pantries for cans of Bumble Bee canned tuna that may have been recalled.  These were recently on sale at Safeway and it’s possible some of the recalled products were sold at Safeway stores.  There are 31,579 cases recalled across 3 specific UPC codes of Chunk Light Tuna due to potential lack of sterilization during packaging that could result in contamination and spoilage.

The recall is being initiated out of an abundance of caution due to the possible under-processing of the affected products discovered by the co-packer during its routine quality audit. Bumble Bee is working closely with the co-packer and the FDA to expedite the removal of products from commerce.
