Checkout 51 Cash Back on Gas 

In a move to differentiate itself from its competitors, Checkout 51 now offers cash back for gas in over 5,000 locations across 42 states.

If you are looking to save on gas, this is a super-easy way because the cashback offers are automatically displayed in the app and all you need to do is buy gas and submit your receipt to get the savings!

How Does Cash Back on Gas Through Checkout 51 Work?

First, you’ll need to download the latest version of the Checkout 51 app through Google Play or the App Store.  The gas cashback is only available through the Checkout 51 app, not the website.

Once you’ve updated the app, and turn on location tracking in the app, you’ll see gas prices in your area displayed in the app as well as a cashback amount available per gallon.  The amount varies based on the gas station that you select.

You’ll have 4 hours from selecting the offer in the app to redeeming your rebate.  You’ll need to pay with a credit or debit card at the pump and print a receipt.  Lastly, you’ll need to upload your receipt for the specific gas station you originally selected to get your cashback rebate.

It appears the cashback offers range from $.13 to $.20 cashback here in Colorado.

Sadly, no grocery store gas stations are available for extra discounts, but since Safeway offers grocery rewards in addition to gas rewards – you can leverage your grocery rewards at Safeway and now save on gas at the pump through Checkout 51.

Gas is getting expensive, so this is a great new way to save, especially as you fill up on the way up the hill to the mountains during ski season!
