Open Nature Cauliflower Crust Pizza Review
There is a new gluten-free frozen pizza option available at Safeway with its new Open Nature Cauliflower Crust Pizza. Try the pizza for just $3.99 with a new Just for U Digital Coupon through September 29th.
Cauliflower crust pizzas are popular right now because cauliflower is a low carb alternative to grains, and it’s a nutritional superfood! Cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetable like broccoli and cabbage that is low in calories and high in fiber and vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients.
It’s also known to help prevent some cancers by neutralizing damaging toxins when consumed frequently.
The new Open Nature Cauliflower Crust Pizza uses real cauliflower and rice flour in the crust and it looks and tastes like traditional pizza. I purchased the Roasted Vegetable Cauliflower Crust Pizza and was blown away at the light, thin and crispy crust.
I’ve made cauliflower crust pizza on my own and it can be more chewy than crispy, but because of the addition of rice flour in this crust, you get a really great texture and crispy crust. The sauce was good, the cheese was flavorful and the veggies were roasted to perfection.
I would’ve liked even more veggies on my pizza, but other than that – it’s a delicious pizza with a crispy crust and you would never know it’s gluten-free.

Had the roasted vegetable pizza last night. It’s delicious! I baked it on my baking stone and I really liked the texture of the crust. I didn’t scan for ingredients before throwing the box away, so I’m not sure how many points per serving for those of you on Weight Watchers. 😉
The Best. I definitely have a problem with gluten and really missed pizza Tried a couple of gluten free and they were “ok” another brand of gluten was also okay. But this One! Oh my it is delicious. My boyfriend wouldn’t even eat a frozen pizza looked at me like I was crazy when I said I wanted a cauliflower pizza from Safeway. He got brave and tasted it, I think to please me. Well, he ate half of it and told me he would probably eat the other one that I left at his house so get more. He said it was better than any other frozen pizza that he ever had. Thin crispy crust great sauce, great flavor.
PS. Start preheating the oven before you even take it out of the freezer. Put in at 425 degrees. Maybe take out a minute or two early.
Great tips! Thank you for commenting!
These are wonderful, I am a diabetic and avoided normal pizza because it spiked my blood sugar. Now I ca have pizza again. I get the 3 cheese and add my own toppings.
I’ve tried several brands of cauliflower pizza and Open Nature’s Margherita pizza is the best I’ve tasted.
I purchased a Open Nature Roasted Veggie pizza and a Cauliflower veggie and was sadly disappointed with the size difference (cauliflower was tiny), the lack of veggies on the cauliflower and it was more costly for the cauliflower and you received less of everything.
I Love this PIZZA!
My wife asked me to try a slice of this pizza. It was the best “store” pizza I ever tried. Then she told me it was cauliflower crust. I was shocked. I couldn’t tell the difference; I just thought it the best frozen pizza ever.
Absolute crap. The crust didn’t crisp but, instead, collapsed through the rack and made a mess in my oven. Will not buy again.
That will happen if you let the pizza sit out too long while the oven is preheating. I kept it in my car for 20 minutes before bringing it home, then preheated my oven while it stayed on the counter. It didn’t happen to me. How long did you have it out?? This pizza is great!
Hooked on these pizzas, the Best ever
I just purchased the Cauliflower Crust Pizza Roasted Vegetable & am obsessed. This pizza is amazing !!!! Finally, a pizza with their perfect crispy crust, perfect veggie choices, the right amount of sauce & cheese = YUMMY GOODNESS
AGREED!
