Why is the weekly ad you send to me different than the one they have in the stores here in Oregon.? I wanted to get some ice cream on the weekend special..and it was not listed in the flyer they had in the store. This isn’t the first time I have done that. Do not send me an ad unless they are the same as the store ads here in Salem, Oregon Thank you.
Hi Joan – at some point, you must’ve signed up for our email newsletter, which is an RSS feed of every post on the blog. SuperSafeway is a personal blog that supports the Safeway Denver division. Safeway/Albertsons has 13 divisions across the country each with its own unique ad and offers. Sorry for any inconvenience. We do have a disclaimer on every page/post on the site that says where the offers are available.
There appears to be a disconnect regarding the price for the Lucerne Cream Cheese 8oz bricks this week. The Monthly Big Book of Savings shows a digital coupon for month that makes these $1.99 each – Limit 4. The Weekly Ad says they are $0.99, with no mention of a limit and no mention of a digital coupon. Just4U shows the $1.99 digital coupon, and specifies that the non-digital coupon price for the item is $1.99 normal and discounted this week to $1.49. I suspect the digital coupon/monthly big book of savings should have referenced the $0.99 price and the weekly ad should have tied the $0.99 price to a digital coupon. Won’t know what is really going on here until try to buy one.
Hi Arthur! I’ve missed your comments! I hope you are well. The Lucerne Cream Cheese will be on sale for $.99 as that is what is shown in the ad. I believe the Big Book of Savings has a typo because the actual digital coupon on Just for U is for $1.29 Lucerne Cream Cheese, limit 4. The regular price is $1.49 every day – so the $1.99 BBOS price must be a mistake. 😉
This is even more confusing now. Was checking my Just4U for the Vita-Coco stuff per your post and I noticed that the Lucerne Cream Cheese 8oz brick digital coupon has now changed to $1.29-LIMIT 4, and thus matching neither the Monthly Big Book of Savings nor the Weekly Ad.
LOL. I agree! I promise it will be $.99 a brick as that’s in the ad, no limits or restrictions.
I have come to dislike just about everything about Safeway trying to be all hip and modern and on-line and phone app savvy. It’s confusing and I find it much easier to just ignore it. I don’t feel at all confident that any of the ;stuff I’ve selected has automatically linked to my card and I esspecially despise your “U” thing since I olnly use a dumb phone. But, I DO NOT like NOT getting a price because I wont bjump through your hoops. I still shop at Safeway as it’s one of very few choices in my area but, I like it less and less as time goes on. Post your prices…and quantities to get the price…on the shelf and then SELL it to the customer at that price. Is that really so hard or confusing to youo to do???????

Where and how do I/WE add the “Buy 5 or More And Save”?
If you mean how do you add it to your online order, you have to look at the ad to see the sales. You’ll then add the items to your shopping list on Safeway.com. As long as you purchase a minimum of 5 participating “Buy 5 or More Items”, you will get the sale price when your credit card is charged for your order. The Safeway website does not say which items are included in the Buy 5 or more promotion. It is only displayed in the ad. I hope this helps. If not – feel free to ask more questions.
I find this new website very customer unfriendly. I used to tab on it, get the coupon deals and “just for U’, no problem, print off a list and that was that. now it takes you several different places. I hate it.

What happened to $5 Friday specials?
Hi Sherry – The Safeway Denver division hasn’t done $5 Fridays for several years. They replaced the $5 Friday strategy with a weekend wow offer(s) that is available through a Just for U digital coupon.

Hi – I assume you are asking about adding to an existing grocery delivery or pick up order. Unfortunately, once your order is placed, it cannot be edited at this time.
