Take advantage of the sales on whole lobsters and lobster tails as well as Sargento cheese at Safeway to make this lobster mac and cheese recipe this season.
You can boil or broil the lobster. Both methods are easy and quick. I broiled my lobster tails for this recipe and quickly cooked the chopped lobster in a garlic butter sauce before adding to the pasta. That added an amazing richness and boost of flavor to the dish.
I actually used oat milk as I wanted to test a plant-based milk option and it tasted amazing! Oat milk has a thicker consistency like whole milk, which makes it the perfect plant-based option to use in mac and cheese. It doesn’t have an aftertaste or add any flavor to the pasta, unlike almond, cashew, and soy milk, which can affect the taste.
