Adding Protein to Smoothies

If you want to boost the protein in your smoothies or smoothie bowls, you have several options.

  1. Add a half scoop of vanilla protein powder to the blender when mixing your ingredients
  2. Add chia seeds as a topping – you’ll get 4.7 grams of protein in a 1 oz serving.
  3. Choose a high protein Greek yogurt or a non-dairy protein yogurt
  4. Use high protein milk like Silk Ultra Protein Milk
  5. Add a nut butter like peanut, cashew, or almond butter when blending the smoothie
  6. Top with nuts like almonds, cashews, pecans or walnuts
