Order Groceries Online With Safeway Grocery Delivery

The Safeway grocery delivery website and app has been revamped with a fresh new look!  It’s now easier than ever to order groceries online from your local Safeway store and have your groceries delivered to your home.  There are even more online only promotions, so if you are an online grocery shopper, you’ll want to be sure to take advantage of these great offers before you place your order.   The Safeway grocery delivery app even has a barcode scanner so you can scan an item before you throw away the packaging to add it to your list.

I ordered groceries this week using the new site and the new features include:

• Choose a 2 hour delivery window through the Instacart partnership or choose the Drive up and Go option if you are close enough to a store where this is offered
• Larger product images
• A shop by history feature where your purchase history is displayed based on products you’ve bought that are tied to your Just for U account
• Online Promotions are listed under the new Deals tab making it easier than ever to find additional savings and discounts.
• You can also choose to leave your grocery bags at your doorstep, so if you want added flexibility of delivery without waiting for the driver to appear, you can choose this option and your groceries will be left outside your door.
• A new Recipe Feature allows you to search recipes and add the recipe ingredients to your shopping list with the click of a button.
• New Eco-Friendly Routing options where you can save $6 on the delivery fee by choosing a time that is more environmentally friendly (i.e. less traffic)
