Available in three delicious flavors – choose from Sea Salt Pita Crackers, Caramelized Onion & Balsamic Vinegar Pita Crackers or Parmesan, Garlic & Herb Pita Crackers.
My favorites are the caramelized onion and balsamic vinegar crackers – they are slightly sweet, slightly salty, and full of flavor. The first flavor that hits your tongue is the vinegar – the sweet acidity if offset by the onion flavors making it perfectly balanced. Perfect for pairing with roasted red pepper hummus or my caramelized onion dip.
My husband loves the parmesan, garlic & herb pita crackers and he eats them with hummus and extra garlic. He’s been known to roast a head of garlic as a snack so this is no surprise to me. They are crunchy, salty, garlicky, and full of flavor.
The sea salt pita crackers stand well enough on their own. They are crunchy and have the perfect amount of salt for a delicious dipper!
The crackers have 140 calories per servings, 6 grams of fat, and between 150 – 220 mg. of sodium per package, depending on the flavor. They have 19 grams of carbs and 3 grams of protein.
I just want to say that so far I’ve purchased 6 boxes of the pita crackers in a variety of flavors all with the intent of photographing and writing a review post in the last 2 weeks.
Why so many you may wonder? Well – my family loves these pita crackers so much, that the boxes have mysteriously disappeared from the pantry before I had a chance to do my job!
I finally had to hide them in my office so sneaky snackers couldn’t eat them all.
Creating a Snacking Board
I told my kids they could invite one friend each for the premier of Mulan. Since I have to pay $29.99 to watch the movie – you better believe I’m going to maximize the experience by letting my kids enjoy it with a friend!
Truth be told, I may be more excited to see the movie than they are, but everyone will be thrilled about this fabulous snacking board I put together featuring Safeway’s new line of Signature SELECT Pita Crackers.
For my snacking board, I used a combination of fresh fruits and veggies from Safeway’s produce department – grapes and crunchy mini bell peppers.
I also picked up a few of my favorite dips from the deli, including O Organics Roasted Garlic Hummus, O Organics Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, and the Signature SELECT Hatch Chile Guacamole.
These items are always great values for the quality of the products.
I also added some Spanish Castelvetrano olives, cheese slices, uncured salami, and smoked almonds along with the three flavors of pita crackers.
The point of a snacking board is to give a variety of healthy snacking options that can pair well together.
This board has sweet, savory, and heart-healthy fats all in one, and I can feel good about my kiddos munching while we watch Mulan.

I just threw away the entire box; these crackers are absolutely awful. They taste unfinished, like they weren’t completely baked and bear no resemblance to pita. Even the color of them is off. I tried covering them with the cheese I intended to use with them, and the taste was not appetizing. Thank God they weren’t expensive. This is really just an awful product. Blech.

These are the very best Pita Chips that I have ever eaten. My friends and I can no longer find them at Safeway and have been going to various Safeway stores to find if a new shipment has arrived. I do hope you still will carry these chips as they are incredible.
