New Sweet Carnival Grapes That Taste Like Cotton Candy Now Available at Safeway

Sweet Carnival Grapes

Sweet Carnival grapes are known for their unique cotton-candy-like flavor and eye-catching golden color. They were originally developed using traditional grape breeding methods that have been around for centuries, according to a press release. The grapes offer up a non-GMO sweet treat for those in search of a sugary, but health-conscious, snack to partake in.

Sweet Carnival is a new fresh grape brand exclusively available from Sunview Vineyards, a third-generation California family farm. Developed using a traditional, natural breeding process, these seedless grapes have an unbelievably sweet taste and crisp texture.

What do Sweet Carnival Grapes Taste Like?

Like sugar spun into cottony threads, the super-sweet grapes have unexpected vanilla and burnt caramel flavors.

They were created through plant breeding a hybrid of Concord grapes (think grape juice and grape jelly) and green grapes.

Perfect for when you need a treat but don’t want to sabotage your diet, these grapes look and smell just like regular green grapes but taste exactly like sugary, fluffy cotton candy. Talk about guilt-free snacking! Score!

My kids wait for these to appear in the store every year and eat them in their lunches, after school, and love to eat them frozen as well.

Difference Between Sweet Carnival Grapes and Cotton Candy Grapes

The term “cotton candy grapes” has been trademarked by a competing grape grower, but the Sweet Carnival grapes have the same great taste.

The Sweet Carnival grapes will be available starting in September and will continue to ship into December.
