By registering early (before March 3rd), you can get pre-game perks including 5 free game tickets, 10 game tokens, and a chance to win a $25 Safeway gift card!
There are 2 ways to register early to play.
- Register online – visit shopplaywin.com and sign in with your Just for U information to connect your account.
- Download the Shop Play Win app and sign-in with your Just for U login information.
Using the app is the easiest way to play Monopoly at Safeway.

You’ll still get game tickets from your local store every time you shop and extra game pieces based on spend thresholds and when you buy participating items.

Monopoly tickets will only be given in-store, not available for Safeway grocery delivery or drive up and go orders.
If you registered early, you will get 10 game tokens and 5 free game tickets loaded into your account. The 5 free game tickets are loaded into your Safeway Just for U account under My List. You will receive the 5 free game tickets the first time you shop at Safeway. The cashier will know how many tickets to give you based on the tally on your receipt.

I registered for Monopoly and downloaded the app then Safeway Reward Points seemed to stop crediting to my Just 4 U account after I completed my shopping at Safeway. Do you have to choose between Monopoly points or Safeway Reward Points? Thank you.
Hi there – no you do not have to choose between points – the reward points should still appear to your Just for U account. It may take 24 hours for them to appear.

Sooo, U can only play this on a cell phone? Last game I entered stuff on my laptop. This time it let me enter one ticket, took me to a board but no matter what I type for the url, it bounces back to the stupid board and there is no app for a laptop.
Is that a version of ageism? I have a cell but it’s for calling out and receiving calls, I’m not going to sit around like some kid who is always on their mobile as they pant, waiting for the next text. It’s repugnant to watch so my cell is for calling in and out only.
I too just entered my first ticket for the monopoly game on my desktop and it took me to a gameboard that I could not use at all. The tickets I entered for free and discounts on food did go to my Just4 You account and should be good to go in a few days but I don’t understand the gameboard pieces. I am not going to download an app to my cell phone either. There must be a way to enter the rest of my tickets.

I have quite a few tokens I was planning on spending tonight 5/5/20 but all the remaining sweepstakes, even though some have time remaining, couldn’t be entered.
Also, when I spent tokens on Fandango, 3, $5.00 certs, I only received confirmation on one. Is there a number I can call?
I have researched this question but could not find a clear answer. Please, could you answer this question? If I spend the tokens I have accumulated (for example, on big-ticket sweepstakes), are these SAME tokens still eligible for entry into the second-chance drawing ??? Thank you very much!

A comment and a question: it’s annoying they changed the dye they use in the monopoly game board and pieces? It comes off and my hands are blue after tear and scanning each grocery visit…
And, does anyone know if you just take in your instant win for extra game pieces or do you have to do anything special to redeem those?
Yes you just take in the Instant Win tickets to the store. Sorry your hands are blue! I have experienced this as well.
