Every Cart Counts Cart Buy

In honor of Earth Day, we were invited to go along with the Safeway and Whitewave/Earthbound Farm team on a cart buy at the Boulder Safeway today.  This is part of the Every Cart Counts program where Whitewave /Earthbound Farms and Safeway are rewarding shoppers for making sustainable, natural and organic plant-based purchases at Safeway.

After reviewing the cart search guide rules, the team started scouting out shoppers carts for natural, plant-based and organic products from Earthbound Farms and Whitewave Foods.  They tried to be as incognito as possible and had a group text going among the team as they spotted people picking up Horizon, Silk, So Delicious and Earthbound Farms products and adding them to their cart.  In the end, they purchased 5 carts at the Boulder store today and between Safeway and Whitewave/ Earthbound Farms, they will be purchasing 350 total grocery carts throughout the month of April.

You can see one of the five lucky winners with the Whitewave team here.  Not only did the winners get their groceries purchased, they also got a reusable bag that they can use for all their grocery shopping in the future.

Congratulations to all of the winners and good luck to all of you!  If you see a Whitewave Foods employee sporting this cool green shirt – be sure to pick up the participating products at your local Safeway.  If they spot you, they might buy your groceries!
