Silk Oat Yeah Oat Milk Now Available at Safeway
Oat milk is the latest addition and hottest new trend in plant-based milks you will find at your local grocery store. Silk, one of the largest producers of plant-based milks has launched NEW Oat Yeah Oat Milk, a dairy-free milk alternative made from oats. Perfect for adding to your morning coffee, pouring over a bowl of cereal, making a smoothie, or even making a creamy homemade latte, the new oat milk has a creamy texture and delicious taste you will love.
Oat Yeah is dairy-free, soy-free, and nut-free, so it’s perfect if you are trying to incorporate more plant-based foods into your diet. Because it’s nut-free, it’s also a great option for non-dairy drinkers with nut allergies.
It’s made without artificial colors, flavors, carrageenan, cholesterol or GMO’s. The oat milk is available in three flavors; plain, vanilla and chocolate. At the time of this post, the plain and chocolate oat milk flavors have made it to the shelves at my local Safeway.
Silk Oat Yeah Oat Milk Review
The flavor profile of the plain oat milk is a slightly thick, creamy, neutral-flavored milk. I was expecting it to be chalky simply because oats can get chalky when processed in a blender, but the Oat Yeah oat milk is super smooth, creamy and delicious. If you are looking for a vegan, non-GMO, plant-based dairy alternative, you should give this new oat milk a try.
The chocolate Oat Yeah oat milk is incredibly indulgent tasting – really it’s just like chocolate milk. While I have not been able to convert my kids to plant-based milks, they thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate oat milk and said they noticed no difference in the flavor compared to traditional chocolate milk.
My husband loves the chocolate oat milk for making smoothies after working out. I’m looking forward to experimenting with a chocolate overnight oats recipe with peanut butter and cacao nibs!
I’ve been an almond milk drinker for as long as I can remember and a soy milk drinker before that, so it’s nice to have another plant-based alternative for milk.

You can use oat milk anywhere you would use cow’s milk or any other plant-based milk alternative.
The possibilities are endless, drink a glass for breakfast or after a workout, make overnight oats, use for pancakes, making smoothies, homemade lattes, or as a dairy replacement when making creamy soups.
I made cinnamon apple overnight oats and a mixed berry overnight oats recipe to test the oat milk. Both were delicious and the oat milk really enhanced the flavor of the oats.
