The digital coupon for this is a bit confusing. The wording on the coupon “$1.00 off any 4 Bush’s Chili Beans and McCormick Chili Seasoning Mix” can be interpreted three ways:
1) – You must buy 4 cans of beans AND one packet of the seasoning to get the $1.00 off.
2) – You get the $1.00 off when you buy 4 of the specified items, but there must be at least one each of the beans and seasoning. For example, you could buy 3 cans of beans + 1 seasoning packet.
3) – You get the $1.00 off when you buy any 4 mix/match of the beans/seasoning. For example, you could buy just 4 cans of beans.
Your example above seems to assume #2, but my experience in the store this morning was that only #1 worked.
Argh! You are correct that the coupon is worded poorly. I interpreted it as Buy 4 specified items in any mix and match scenario but at least one item is the seasoning packet. I’m surprised that you had to buy 5 items to get the $1.00 off because the coupon specifically states $1.00 off any 4 McCormick Chili Seasoning Mix and Bush’s Chili Beans, mix and match, so to me, that means you only need to buy 4 items. I will confirm with my corporate contact.
