How to Make Honey Garlic Shrimp
Making this shrimp is incredibly easy and can be done with mostly pantry staples.
Thaw the shrimp by placing it in a colander and running cool water over it. It may take about 15 to 20 minutes to thaw. Alternatively, you can place the bag in the refrigerator and let it thaw overnight.
Start by preparing the sauce.
Mix together the soy sauce, garlic, honey, lemon juice, and grated ginger and stir until combined.
Meanwhile, heat a non-stick pan or a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
Add the butter, then add the shrimp. Add the sliced Fresno chili or jalapeno. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and toss the shrimp to coat with the sauce. Cook on medium-high heat for about 6-8 minutes until the sauce becomes thick and sticky and the shrimp is cooked through.
Top with chopped green onions and serve with steamed rice or cauliflower fried rice.
Note -if you don’t want the fresh Fresno chili pepper, you could substitute a teaspoon of garlic chili paste or sriracha.
